Grenada half day sightseeing tour.

Only have half a day to soak up a few sights of Grenada….no problem!  The “Half Day Sightseeing, Shopping Tour” allows you to experience history, rum, beauty, nature, and culture in one tour.  We begin at Clarke’s Court Rum Distillery located in Woodlands, St. George, ten minutes from the Grand Anse Beach.

Clarke’s Court has been in operations since 1937 and is the largest distillery on the island.  Guests are exposed to the working operations of this distillery with tasting sample bar to get the day started on the right foot.

Next, we move onto Fort Frederick, construction began by the French in 1779 and finished by the English in 1783, is truly a glimpse back in time as this stone fort was a strategic for the colonizers to have a 360-degree view of the town of St. George’s, The Carenage, Grand Anse Beach, and country roads.

The next stop of the tour will drive past the Botanical Gardens located in Tanteen, St. George’s, close to the Ministerial Governmental Complex, to Lowther’s Lane where guests can see a beautiful lookout of The Carenage and Lagoon Road.

We move onto Annandale Waterfall, just a short 15-minute drive away from St. George’s.  Guests get to walk through the lush gardens overflowing with local flowers, plants, and trees before arriving at the refreshing waterfall for a cool dip in the waters and enjoy the show of watching jumpers plunge into the pools.

We save the best for last with a guided, walking tour of the town of St. George’s to soak up the sights and sounds of Grenada’s capital.  Guests get to explore Grenadian colonial architecture in the heart of the city by walking through the spice market, shop for souvenirs, and absorb historical facts all while sipping on cool, refreshing coconut water.

Duration of the Tour.

It takes approximately 6 hours to explore the different places during the trip however we are always open for customization, should need to visit more places; we shall surely add them to the tour.
